I love NTLite and want it to be ultra successful, so please don't take this as a complaint, but rather as a question and constructive criticism.Īs a workaround I can probably leave LAN enabled in Bios and just physically unplug my ethernet cable, but even this is a pretty big inconvienance because my desktop isn't just sitting ontop of my desk and easily accessible. Is there any way to avoid this? Like I said before I know this issue has been brought up in the past, but if it is such a common issue then perhaps it needs to be revisited again. It makes working with NTLite very difficult. I am going to be reinstalling Windows probably 50-100 times by time I'm fully done tweaking and troubleshooting. This is where I think the issue is, because whenever the LAN is disabled through Bios NTLite throws an error the next time I try to load it, and it tells me I need to reactivate.įor a program of this nature this is highly inconvienant.

I also do this because while I am tweaking I don't want so much bloat in the background running and phoning home and making unwarranted changes while I am troubleshooting and experimenting. However, because Microsoft tries to force people to create a Microsoft account during the install process, I disable my LAN through Bios while I am installing, as to avoid the account crap. It may very well be that all of this so far is not an issue. One is my Windows drive which keeps being reformatted, the 2nd one is just for files like drivers/portable tools/etcetera, and the 2nd one is where the NTLite program resides. The specific problem I have is that every time I tweak a new Windows install with NTLite and then reformat my PC and install Windows, I am forced to re-activate NTLite again and reduced to the Free version. I bought a license for NTLite, and I activated it and everything is good to go. I know that this question has already been asked in the past, and I did read through a number of those posts and replies from various threads, but I think that I have an extra spin on it that might help to clarify some of the confusion that seemed to be in a fair amount of those other threads.
